Cat6 IDC Keystone Jack

This Monoprice 115694 keystone jack terminates Cat6 cables using a 180-degree dual IDC design. It accepts 22-24 AWG solid wire for punch-down installation. The white module fits standard keystone wallplates, patch panels, and surface mount boxes. It is backwards compatible with lower category components and systems.

Wiring Standards and Compatibility

The jack supports both 568A and 568B wiring schemes for flexible deployment. It meets or exceeds TIA/EIA 568 specifications for Cat6 performance. Installation requires a compatible punch-down tool not included with the jack. The IDC terminals are designed specifically for solid conductor cable, not stranded patch cord wire.

Solid Wire Termination Requirement

This keystone only terminates 22 to 24 AWG solid copper conductors. Installers using stranded cable, larger gauge wire, or shielded cable requiring a grounded jack cannot use this module. Buyers needing tool-less termination, angled entry, or shielded Cat6a performance must select a different product.
