Monoprice 121553 Speaker Wire 12AWG 4-Conductor 250ft Gray

Burial-rated 12 AWG speaker wire

Monoprice 121553 is a 250 ft spool of 12 AWG four-conductor speaker wire built for direct burial and outdoor installations. The grey polyethylene jacket and water-blocking tape protect the 100 % oxygen-free copper conductors from moisture. It suits installers wiring speaker pairs in gardens, patios or commercial landscapes.

Four conductors simplify pair runs

A single pull carries both left and right channels to a stereo speaker location, halving the labour compared with running two separate two-conductor cables. Colour-coded inner jackets keep polarity straight during termination. The moisture-resistant outer jacket and water-blocking tape maintain conductivity after years in wet soil.

Direct burial demands careful trenching

Lay the cable in a trench at the depth required by local code and backfill without sharp rocks that could puncture the jacket. The stiff 12 AWG conductors resist sharp bends, so use gradual curves at corners. Buyers who need indoor-rated CL2/CL3 jacketing for in-wall runs should choose a different cable.
