Professional HD-SDI BNC cable for broadcast use

Monoprice 121564 Viper Series cable carries HD-SDI video signals over 250 feet of RG6 coaxial construction. The 18 AWG pure copper centre conductor and 75-ohm impedance suit professional broadcast, mobile production and broadband installations. Dual copper and aluminium shielding protects the signal across the full run length.

Lifetime warranty and sweep testing assure

Monoprice backs every Viper Series cable with a lifetime warranty, so the link is covered for the life of the installation. Each 76.2-metre length is 100% sweep tested at the factory to verify consistent 75-ohm performance before it ships. The dual braided shield keeps the cable flexible for routing while maintaining shielding effectiveness.

Verify BNC connectors

Your equipment must present BNC female ports for the two male connectors supplied on this cable. The .303-inch overall diameter sets the minimum bend radius you can accommodate in cable trays or through conduit. Confirm that 250 feet meets the distance between source and destination without requiring additional joins or signal repeaters.

Questions about this item

Will the 18 AWG pure copper conductor need replacement under normal broadcast use?

The 18 AWG pure copper conductor is built for long-term HD-SDI signal transmission and does not require scheduled replacement.

What signal loss limit appears first on a 250 foot run at HD-SDI frequencies?

The cable is 100% sweep tested to 75-ohm impedance, ensuring consistent HD-SDI performance across the full 250 foot length.

Does the dual copper and aluminum shielding keep the cable cool during all-day HD-SDI transmission?

The dual shielding protects signal integrity from interference; passive coaxial cables generate no heat during signal transmission.
