Monoprice 14AWG Braided Speaker Wire 20ft

This 20ft speaker wire uses two 14AWG tinned oxygen-free copper conductors terminated with gold-plated banana plugs. The soft-touch braided jacket protects speaker finishes while staying flexible for easy routing. Color-coded aluminum connectors simplify correct polarity matching during setup. Model 134311 is supplied new in black.

Suits stereo pairs or single runs needing 20ft

Buyers who need bare-wire ends, spade terminals or a different connector gender should look elsewhere. Systems requiring longer continuous runs, higher conductor counts or in-wall rated jackets will not be served by this cable. The fixed 6.096m length also limits use where custom-cut lengths are essential.

14AWG gauge over 20ft decides fit

The 14AWG conductor size determines the cable's resistance and current capacity across the full 20ft span, which is the primary factor for matching amplifier power and speaker impedance. If your installation demands a different gauge to meet voltage-drop targets, this wire will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What length and gauge is the wire so I can check it reaches my speakers?

The cable is 20 ft long and uses 14 AWG conductors, giving you plenty of reach for typical room layouts.

How do I connect the gold-plated banana plugs without reversing polarity?

Each plug is colour-coded; match the red plug to the positive terminal and the black plug to the negative terminal on both amplifier and speaker.

Will the braided jacket or connectors degrade and need replacing over time?

The tinned oxygen-free copper and gold-plated banana plugs resist corrosion, and the soft-touch braided jacket protects both the wire and your speaker finishes for long-term use.
