Sunlike 18/2 Brown Thermostat Cable

This 50.0-foot Sunlike Technology cable uses 18 AWG solid copper conductors in a brown jacket rated CL3R, FT4 and CMR for riser installations. It is designed for low-voltage circuits such as thermostats, doorbells, HVAC controls and security systems. The round, slick jacket includes a rip cord to simplify pulling through studs and corners.

Sustained low-voltage operation

The cable carries a 300 V power-limited rating and meets UL 1581 sunlight-resistance requirements for continuous outdoor exposure. Its polyolefin insulation is rated for installation temperatures from 32 to 140 °F and operating temperatures from -4 to 167 °F. The riser-rated jacket maintains flame-retardant performance over long runs in vertical shafts.

CL3R riser standard limits

CL3R rating restricts use to power-limited circuits not exceeding 100 VA per NEC Class 3 definitions. The two-conductor 18/2 construction cannot supply circuits that require three or more conductors. Installers needing higher conductor counts or plenum-rated cable must select a different listing.
