Server power extension cord

This Monoprice 135058 extension cord uses 12 AWG conductors rated for 20A at 125V. It connects equipment with an IEC 60320 C19 inlet to a NEMA 5-20P receptacle. The six-foot length suits rack or floor-mounted power distribution units.

Sustained high-current operation

The 12 AWG gauge handles continuous 20A loads without the voltage drop seen in thinner cords. SJT jacket material resists heat and abrasion during long-term use in dense server environments. It maintains stable delivery to critical network infrastructure.

Heavy-duty connectors and daily handling

Molded C19 and 5-20P ends withstand repeated insertion cycles in busy data centres. The locking C19 inlet prevents accidental disconnection from vibration or cable movement. Black SJT sheathing simplifies cable identification in colour-coded power chains.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 AWG cable run warm when it carries 20 A continuously?

The 12 AWG conductors are rated for 20 A at 125 V, so normal full-load operation stays within safe temperature limits.

What inlet must my UPS or PDU provide to accept the NEMA 5-20P plug on this cord?

The cord ends in a NEMA 5-20P plug, which requires a matching 20 A 125 V receptacle on the UPS or power distribution unit.

Will the IEC 60320 C19 connector fit the C20 inlet on my older blade-server enclosure?

Yes, the C19 connector mates directly with a standard C20 inlet found on many blade-server enclosures and network switches.
