Monoprice 140076 power extension cord

This new Monoprice 140076 power extension cord measures 1.8288 metres and links a NEMA 6-15P plug to an IEC 60320 C13 connector. It uses 14AWG conductors rated for 15 amps at 125 volts. The heavy-duty SJT jacket suits data-centre and office equipment.

Suits devices with a C14 inlet fed from a 6-15R

The cord fits computers, printers, scanners, sound systems, servers and monitors that present a male C14 panel connector and draw power from a NEMA 6-15R receptacle on a UPS or PDU. Buyers whose equipment uses a different inlet style or a different wall-plug standard need another cable.

14AWG 15 A rating determines safe load

The 14AWG construction and 15-amp rating set the maximum continuous current this assembly can carry. Verify that the connected load stays within that limit before deploying the cord in a high-density rack.

Questions about this item

What type of power inlet must my device have to accept the C13 connector on this cord?

Your device needs a male IEC 60320 C14 panel inlet, which is the standard counterpart to the female C13 connector fitted on this cable.

Can I plug the NEMA 6-15P end into a regular 125 V wall socket I already use?

No, the NEMA 6-15P plug is a 15 A, 125 V locking-type connector intended for matching receptacles on a UPS or PDU, not a standard household outlet.

How can I confirm the cord is delivering power once everything is connected?

The attached equipment will power on normally; there are no indicator lights on the cord itself, so device operation is the verification.
