Extends power connections between servers and PDUs or UPS units using a locking NEMA L6-20P plug and IEC 60320 C13 socket at 15 A, 250 V
This Monoprice extension cord connects equipment with an IEC 60320 C14 inlet to a NEMA L6-20R outlet. The 14AWG cable is rated for 15 amps at 250 volts and spans 1.8288 metres. It suits server racks and high-density data environments where accidental disconnection must be avoided.
The NEMA L6-20P plug twists into the receptacle so vibration or cable movement cannot pull it free. This mechanical lock replaces a standard friction fit and keeps critical gear powered during rack maintenance or airflow shifts. No software or active components are included.
The cord only works with a matching NEMA L6-20R locking outlet; it will not fit standard NEMA 5-15R or 6-20R sockets. The 15 amp rating caps the usable current below the connector's 20 amp potential, so devices drawing more than 15 amps cannot be supported. Length is fixed at 1.8288 metres.

The cord uses 14 AWG SJT conductors rated for 15 A at 250 V, and the NEMA L6-20P locking plug secures with a twist-lock action; both are built for continuous data-centre duty and do not have a scheduled replacement interval.
The cable assembly is rated 15 A maximum current; the 14 AWG SJT wire and the IEC 60320 C13 connector are each limited to 15 A, so sustained loads above that will trip upstream protection or overheat the cord.
At the rated 15 A and 250 V the 14 AWG SJT conductors operate within their temperature rating, so the jacket and both the IEC C13 and NEMA L6-20P connectors remain warm but not hot during continuous use.
