Power extension for rack equipment

This Monoprice 140120 cord extends an AC power connection by 2.4384 metres using a grounded IEC 60320 C14 plug and a matching C13 receptacle. It is built for computers, monitors, servers and other peripherals that draw power from a PDU or UPS in a data cabinet.

14AWG conductors rated 15A at 100-250V

The cable uses 14AWG copper rated for 15 amps across a 100 to 250 volt range, so it safely handles typical rack-mounted loads without voltage drop over the stated length. This single rating determines whether the cord suits your equipment power draw.

Coloured jacket aids cable identification

The coloured outer jacket lets technicians trace this cord quickly in a high-density rack, reducing the chance of accidental disconnects during maintenance. No additional accessories or software are bundled with the cable.

Questions about this item

How far will the 2.4384 m cord reach from a wall outlet to my desk-mounted monitor?

The 2.4384 metre length lets you bridge roughly eight feet between a fixed socket and a monitor or PC on a standard desk without stretching the cable.

What does the IEC 60320 C14 to C13 connection actually limit in daily use?

The C14 plug and C13 socket are rated for 15 A at 100-250 V, so the cord caps the connected device at 15 amps within that voltage range.

Will the 14 AWG conductors fit the IEC 60320 C13 inlet on my server PSU?

Yes — 14 AWG is the wire gauge inside the moulded C13 connector, which is the standard fit for server and workstation power supplies.
