IEC C14 to C13 extension cord

This 12 ft power extension cord connects an IEC 60320 C14 plug to an IEC 60320 C13 receptacle. It is built for computers, monitors and similar AC powered peripherals. The 14 AWG conductors are rated for 15 A service.

Practical limits of the IEC 60320 interface

The cord extends power by 3.6576 metres from a distant outlet or rack PDU. It carries up to 15 A at standard mains voltage, so devices drawing more current are not supported. The fixed C14 and C13 ends cannot be adapted to other connector types without a separate adapter.

Build quality and daily use

The black jacket protects the 14 AWG wires during routine rack or desk routing. Moulded strain relief on both the C14 plug and C13 receptacle resists damage from repeated insertion cycles. The two connector design keeps cable management simple in dense cabinet installations.
