Application Fit

This cord connects devices with a male IEC 60320 C16 panel inlet to a standard NEMA 5-15P wall outlet, UPS, or power strip. It suits PCs, monitors, scanners, printers, and high-temperature appliances such as electric kettles. The two-foot length keeps cable runs short inside a rack or on a desk. Builders needing longer reach or a different connector style should select another cable.

Electrical Rating

The assembly uses 14AWG conductors rated for 15 amps at 125 volts, delivering up to 1875 watts. A grounded NEMA 5-15P plug mates with the IEC 60320 C15 female connector on the equipment side. No additional wiring or adapters are required for compatible hardware.

Sustained Operation

The SJT jacket and C15 connector are designed for continuous loads at the full 15 amp rating, including the elevated temperatures found in kitchen appliances. The cord maintains its rated capacity without derating during extended use. It is not intended for voltages above 125 V or currents exceeding 15 A.

Questions about this item

Will the 14 AWG conductors overheat if I draw the full 15 A continuously?

The cord is rated for a 15 A / 1875 W load at 125 V, so the 14 AWG SJT cable is sized to carry that current without exceeding its temperature rating.

Does the SJT jacket stay flexible and cool when the cord runs all day at 15 A?

SJT thermoplastic insulation is designed for continuous duty at the rated 15 A, remaining cool to the touch and retaining flexibility during extended use.

My device has a C16 inlet — will this C15 connector mate with it?

Yes, the IEC 60320 C15 female connector on this cord fits directly into a standard male C16 panel inlet found on most PCs, monitors, printers and high‑temperature appliances.
