4x1 HDMI Switch for Four Sources

The Monoprice Blackbird 4K 4x1 HDMI Switch connects up to four HDMI source devices to a single display. It supports video resolutions up to 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at 60 Hz. The unit handles all 3D video modes and complies with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 specifications. Audio Return Channel support is included.

Replaces Manual Cable Swapping

This switch removes the need to physically change cables when moving between four sources. The upgrade is worthwhile when a display has only one HDMI input but multiple devices require connection. It also adds audio extraction to a combined 3.5 mm analog stereo and mini Toslink digital optical jack. EDID management helps maintain stable handshakes across sources.

Fits Single-Input Displays and Audio Systems

The switch fits between four sources and one HDMI display, requiring no extra software or drivers. It frees up the display's sole HDMI port while routing audio to external speakers or a soundbar via the rear audio jack. Bidirectional IR pass-through allows remote control signals to travel through the unit. Power is supplied by the included adapter.

Questions about this item

What rear-panel audio jack does the 139666 provide for extracted sound?

The switch includes a combined 3.5 mm analog stereo and mini Toslink digital optical output for audio extraction from the HDMI source.

How is the IR pass-through set up so the remote controls the hidden source?

Connect the supplied IR emitter to the switch and place its eye on the source device; the receiver on the switch then relays every remote command through the HDMI cable.

Which HDMI cable specification should I use to keep 4K at 60 Hz reliable?

Use cables rated for HDMI 2.0a bandwidth so the 4K@60Hz signal and HDCP 2.2 handshake remain stable across all four inputs.
