1000-foot Cat6 plenum reel

This bulk Cat6 cable ships as a 1000-foot yellow reel rated for plenum spaces. Installers and IT teams use it to terminate custom-length runs in commercial ceilings and raised floors. The solid 23AWG bare-copper conductors meet UL 444 and TIA-568-C.2 requirements. TAA compliance allows procurement for government projects.

550MHz bandwidth and 100-metre channel limit

The cable is specified to 550MHz, exceeding the Cat6 standard minimum of 250MHz. At 1000Base-T the maximum channel distance remains 100 metres. For 10GBase-T the Cat6 standard limits the run to 50 metres, so this reel does not support 10-gigabit links at full length. Shielding is UTP only.

Replaces Cat5e and lower-grade Cat6

Builders pulling Cat5e at 100MHz or 350MHz cable gain headroom for gigabit Ethernet and future re-certification. The jump is worthwhile when plenum rating is required by fire code or when lifetime warranty coverage simplifies long-term maintenance. It is not suited for 25GBase-T or 40GBase-T environments that demand Cat8 shielding and 30-metre limits.
