25 ft VGA cable with integrated audio

This 25 ft VGA cable connects a computer to a monitor or projector using male HD15 connectors on both ends. A built-in stereo audio line with 3.5 mm plugs runs alongside the video signal. The cable is triple-shielded and features gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance. It is suited for legacy analog video setups that still rely on VGA connections.

Installation notes and common issues

The DE-15 connectors are standard male-to-male and screw down for a secure fit. Each 3.5 mm audio lead extends 22 inches beyond the video connector to reach separate audio ports. Ensure the screws are tightened to prevent signal loss from loose pins. The main difficulty arises when routing the thick triple-shielded jacket through tight cable management channels or conduit.

Capacity and signal limits

The cable handles analog VGA and extended VGA resolutions over its 7.62 metre length. Triple shielding helps maintain signal integrity for typical desktop resolutions at this distance. Very high pixel clocks or long runs beyond this length may degrade image sharpness. The integrated audio line carries stereo sound without a separate cable.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 25 ft VGA cable is carrying a clean video signal after connecting it?

Check that the monitor displays a stable image at its native resolution without ghosting, flicker or colour shift; the triple-shielded construction and gold-plated DE-15 connectors are designed to prevent interference on analog VGA and extended VGA resolutions.

What comes in the box with the Monoprice 100559 and do I need any extra adapters?

The package includes the 7.62 m VGA cable with two male DE-15 ends and an integrated stereo audio line with 3.5 mm plugs; each audio lead extends 22 in beyond the video connector, so no separate audio cable or adapter is required.

Which length should I choose if my PC and monitor are about 25 ft apart?

Select the 25 ft version (model 100559); it provides exactly 7.62 m of cable between the gold-plated male DE-15 connectors, matching that distance without excess slack.
