Cat6 punch-down keystone jack

This Cat6 punch-down keystone jack terminates solid 22 to 24 AWG wire in a short 180-degree body. The compact design fits standard keystone wallplates, patch panels and surface-mount boxes while meeting TIA/EIA 568B requirements. It is backwards compatible with lower category components and carries a lifetime warranty.

Ideal for structured wiring installs

Installers running Cat6 drops in offices or homes will appreciate the space-saving profile and tool-friendly punch-down action. The jack is not suited for stranded patch cable or for installations that require shielded or Cat6A performance.

180-degree short body form factor

The 180-degree orientation and reduced depth determine whether the jack fits behind a faceplate or inside a shallow patch panel. Verify the available cavity depth before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the keystone jack require re-termination or replacement over time?

The punch-down contacts are designed for a single solid-wire termination; if a wire is removed the connection should be re-punched with a fresh conductor.

What limits sustained throughput on a Cat6 link using this jack?

The jack meets TIA/EIA 568B so the link is bound by the Cat6 channel specification rather than the connector itself.

Does the jack generate heat or noise when installed in a patch panel running continuously?

As a passive copper connector it draws no power and produces no audible noise or measurable heat.
