25 ft coaxial cable for digital audio and video

The Monoprice Onix Series coaxial RF cable carries S/PDIF digital audio, composite video and other line-level RCA signals. It uses RG-6/U construction with double copper braid shielding to reject EMI and RFI interference. The 75 ohm impedance matches standard consumer audio and video equipment. Gold-plated RCA male connectors on both ends provide corrosion-resistant contact.

Check connector type and required length before

Verify that your source and destination devices both accept RCA phono plugs. The cable is terminated male-to-male, so each port must be female. Measure the run between components to confirm that 25 feet (7.62 metres) covers the distance with enough slack for routing. The CL2-rated jacket is approved for in-wall installation in residential buildings.

Braided nylon jacket protects the cable during

The outer braided nylon resists nicks and cuts without reducing flexibility, making it easier to pull through walls or tight spaces. Double copper braid shielding maintains signal integrity over the full length. Oxygen-free copper conductors and gold-plated contacts minimise resistance and oxidation for consistent performance.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need any extra connectors?

The cable has two gold-plated RCA male ends already attached, so it is ready to plug into subwoofer, receiver or TV ports without buying separate adapters.

Which length should I choose for a typical home-theatre run?

The 25-foot / 7.62-metre option covers most room-spanning paths from an AV rack to a subwoofer or display while keeping the 75-ohm impedance intact.

What does the 97 % oxygen-free copper figure mean for my audio signal?

It indicates a high-purity centre conductor that lowers resistance, helping the RG-6/U double-braid cable deliver clean S/PDIF digital audio and composite video over the full 25-foot length.
