Premium Two-Channel Audio Cable

This Monoprice 2864 is a six-foot stereo interconnect built from RG-59 coaxial cable with a 75 ohm impedance. It uses a 22AWG conductor and shielding to block EMI and RFI from the signal path. Gold-plated RCA plugs resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance over time. Colour-coded rubber rings on each connector give a secure grip during installation.

Upgrade From Thin Patch Cords

The coaxial construction and shielding replace basic unshielded patch leads that pick up hum from power supplies or nearby electronics. The jump is worth it when audible noise or intermittent connections appear on a turntable, receiver or powered speaker setup. Lifetime warranty coverage from the manufacturer backs the build quality.

Suits Stereo Analogue Links

Buyers connecting a phono preamp, CD player or media streamer to an amplifier will find the two male plugs match standard line-level inputs. Installers who need balanced XLR, digital coaxial or multi-channel analogue runs should look at other cable types.

Questions about this item

What is the cable length and connector type so I know it reaches my equipment?

The cable is 6 ft long and has RCA male connectors on both ends for stereo audio connections.

How do I attach the connectors without damaging them?

Grip the color-coded rubber rings on each connector head and push straight in; twisting the cable body can bend the center pin.

Will the shielding or plating degrade and need replacement?

The gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and the RG-59 75 ohm coaxial shield blocks EMI/RFI, so no periodic replacement is required.
