Cat6 Inline Coupler Keystone Jack

This Monoprice 7297 adapter joins two Cat6 cables inside a standard keystone opening. The black plastic housing snaps into wallplates or patch panels for a permanent, tool-free link. Model 7297 is sold new and covered by the manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

Coupler termination removes the need

The 8P8C RJ45 pass-through lets installers connect patch cords on both sides without terminating bare conductors. This speeds up moves, adds, and changes in structured cabling jobs. Buyers who need to terminate solid-core cable directly should choose a punch-down keystone instead.

Questions about this item

Will the plastic housing of the Monoprice 7297 keystone coupler need replacement over time?

The plastic housing is built for permanent installation in keystone wallplates or network racks and does not require scheduled replacement under normal indoor use.

What performance limit appears first when the Cat6 inline coupler handles sustained high-throughput traffic?

The Cat6 specification of the 8P8C RJ45 coupler sets the bandwidth ceiling, so sustained loads are limited to the category's rated frequency and crosstalk margins.
