Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point

The EnGenius EWS276-Fit is a Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point managed through the Fit mobile app, on-premises controller or cloud system. It delivers up to 3.5 Gbps aggregate wireless speed with 4x4 antenna architecture. A single 2.5 GbE PoE+ port provides both connectivity and power over distances up to 100 metres. Eight internal 5 dBi antennas support 250 concurrent client connections.

Suited for managed Wi-Fi deployments

This access point suits administrators who want centralised visibility, remote monitoring and app-based setup without licensing fees. OFDMA uplink and downlink improve transmission efficiency in dense environments. It is not for buyers who need multi-gigabit wired uplinks beyond 2.5 GbE, outdoor-rated enclosures, or hardware that operates without the Fit management ecosystem.

2.5 GbE PoE+ uplink constraint

The single 2.5 GbE port is the only wired uplink and requires 802.3at PoE+ for operation. If your switch infrastructure cannot supply 48 V PoE+ or you need aggregated wired throughput above 2.5 Gbps, this model will not meet the requirement. No alternative power input or additional Ethernet ports are provided.

Questions about this item

How is the EWS276-Fit installed, and which PoE detail is often overlooked?

Connect the single 2.5 GbE port to a switch or injector that delivers 802.3 at 48 V PoE+; the cable run can reach 100 metres (328 feet), but the source must supply 48 V, not a lower-voltage passive injector.

What maintenance or replacement will the EWS276-Fit need over time?

No access-point licensing or subscription fees are required; firmware updates arrive through the Fit mobile app, on-premises controller, or cloud management, so the only future action is applying those updates when released.

What limit appears first when the EWS276-Fit runs at sustained load?

The radio caps at 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1,148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz for a 3.5 Gbps aggregate ceiling, while the 2.5 GbE uplink and 250 concurrent-client maximum can become bottlenecks before the radios saturate.
