Scale and Audience

This 1/24 scale diecast model replicates the Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Pickup Food Truck in cream and blue. An opening side food service panel adds functional display interest.

Materials and Handling

The model is constructed from diecast metal with some plastic parts and arrives in a brand new, unopened box. At approximately 3.75 inches in height it is a shelf sized piece that requires no power or cooling. Normal use is limited to occasional dusting and careful repositioning of the opening panel.

Display Features

The hinged side panel allows the food service interior to be shown open or closed without additional accessories. No software, batteries or assembly are included or required. The manufacturer may change the packaging box at any time while the model itself remains identical.

Questions about this item

How is the opening side food service panel designed to work, and what is the common mistake when using it?

The panel swings outward on small hinges; the common mistake is forcing it past its stop, which can stress the diecast hinge tabs.

What part of this model is most likely to need replacement after long-term display?

The real rubber tyres can harden or crack over years, so they are the first component collectors typically replace.

Which dimension becomes the limiting factor when fitting this 1/24 scale truck into a standard display case?

At 3.75 inches tall, the overall height is usually the first measurement that restricts case selection.
