1/24 Scale Volkswagen Pickup

This Motormax diecast model reproduces the Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Pickup in brown and orange with a removable surfboard. The 1/24 scale replica features a detailed interior and exterior plus real rubber tyres. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. The officially licensed collectible is intended for adult hobbyists and collectors.

Diecast Build with Opening Tailgate

The model combines diecast metal construction with selected plastic parts for accurate detailing. An opening tailgate adds functional interest while the removable surfboard accessory completes the vintage surf scene. At approximately 7.25 inches long the piece sits comfortably on a display shelf without requiring specialised mounting hardware or additional accessories.

Collectors Seeking Licensed Vintage Trucks

This suits enthusiasts who want an officially licensed Volkswagen commercial vehicle in a compact display scale. Buyers needing a larger scale for finer detail or a model without the surfboard accessory should consider other options. The fixed brown and orange colour scheme also limits appeal for those preferring alternative liveries or customisable finishes.

Questions about this item

How long will the paint finish hold up under daily display?

The diecast body with factory-applied brown and orange paint is sealed for shelf life; avoid direct sunlight and handle by the chassis to prevent fingerprints from dulling the finish over time.

Does the model generate any heat or noise when left on a shelf all day?

It is a static diecast collectible with no electronics, motor or moving parts, so it produces zero heat and zero noise regardless of how long it sits displayed.

What extra items are needed to display this pickup with the surfboard attached?

Nothing beyond the contents of the box — the removable surfboard slots into the bed and the tailgate opens on its own hinges, so no tools, adhesives or stands are required.
