Motorola Y-HC4B-NX 360° Phone Cord Detangler 4-Pack Black

What it is and who it is for

This Motorola four-pack supplies 360-degree rotating detanglers for landline handset cords. Each unit connects between the handset and the coiled cord to stop twisting during calls. The gold-plated contacts maintain clear audio on compatible phones. Buyers who need a detangler for a straight cord or a headset with a different plug type will not be served by this design.

Practical limits of the interface

The detanglers use a male-to-female Sata-style telephone connector that fits most standard handset jacks, including deep recessed ports. Continuous 360 rotation prevents the cord from binding when the handset is turned repeatedly. The adapter adds 1.8 by 7.3 by 12.4 centimetres to the connection point, so very tight desk grommets may not accommodate the extra length.

Build quality and daily implications

Each detangler weighs 0.03 kilograms and is housed in a compact black plastic case that resists cracking under normal office use. Gold-plated metal contacts resist oxidation and keep sound quality consistent over time. The four-unit pack lets you equip multiple desk phones or keep spares for replacements. Users who prefer a single bulkier swivel or a hard-wired coiled cord will find this modular approach less convenient.
