Five-input 4K 30 Hz HDMI switch

The Mrocioa D514 routes five HDMI sources to a single display at up to 4K resolution and 30 Hz refresh. It handles 1080p and 720p signals and passes DTS 7.1, DTS-HD, PCM and AC3 audio formats. The aluminium alloy case stays cool and the unit draws power directly from the HDMI cables, so no external adapter is required.

IR remote and ARC on port 1

A small infrared remote works at 16 to 22 feet, letting you change inputs from the sofa. Port 1 adds ARC and eARC support for sending audio back to a sound system; the manufacturer notes that the TV or projector must also support ARC and that Sonos users should disable auto-switching. Pressing the front button for three seconds toggles automatic input selection on or off.

Bandwidth ceiling and 4K 60 Hz limitation

The switch operates at up to 18 Gbps with a high-quality cable, which is sufficient for 4K at 30 Hz but not for 4K at 60 Hz. The supplier advises that 4K 60 Hz sources should use port 1 or 2 and still require a premium cable. HDCP 2.3 is the maximum content-protection version supported, so newer HDCP revisions will not work.
