Compact business mini PC

The MSI Cubi 5 12M-286US is a Mini PC designed for business environments. It ships with Windows 11 Home 64-bit and an Intel Core i5-1235U processor. The 10-core CPU reaches 4.40 GHz and includes 12 MB of L3 cache. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handles display output without a discrete card.

Sustained load with 65 W power

A 65 W power supply limits long-duration performance to the thermal envelope of the chassis. The 10-core processor maintains clocks within that budget rather than boosting indefinitely. 16 GB of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz supports multitasking without paging. The 1 TB NVMe SSD keeps read and write latency low during extended workloads.

VESA mount simplifies installation

The case includes 75x75 mm and 100x100 mm VESA mounting points for attachment behind a display. No optical drive is present, so software must be installed via network or USB. Memory and storage are pre-configured, reducing internal access. Builders who need internal expansion slots or a second graphics card cannot use this platform.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 65W power supply run when the Cubi 5 12M-286US operates continuously?

The 65W adapter feeds a 10-core i5-1235U that tops out at 4.40 GHz; typical office loads keep the mini chassis warm but quiet, while sustained heavy work spins the internal fan higher.

Which display cables and monitor inputs do I need to connect to the Intel Iris Xe graphics on this mini PC?

The unit provides HDMI and DisplayPort outputs — match whichever input your monitor has; no screen is included in the box.

Can I keep using my existing DDR4-3200 SO-DIMMs if I decide to upgrade the 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) memory later?

Yes — the board takes DDR4 SO-DIMMs at 3200 MHz, so compatible modules you already own will work without changing memory generation.
