Compact Business Mini PC

The MSI Cubi NUC 1MG-008US is a 0.826-liter desktop built around an Intel Core 5 120U processor with 10 cores and a 5.00 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, 16 GB of DDR5 5200 memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. A 120 W power supply and VESA mount brackets for 75x75 and 100x100 mm patterns are included.

Suited for Office and Signage

This system suits professionals who need a quiet, space-saving device for productivity applications, video conferencing or digital signage. The Intel Graphics output and THUNDERBOLT 4 port support modern displays and docking with up to 100 W power delivery. It is not the right choice for buyers who want a discrete graphics card, additional internal drive bays or a larger chassis for PCIe expansion cards.

Deciding Specification: 0.826-Liter VESA-Mountable

The defining attribute is the 0.826-liter form factor combined with standard VESA mounting holes, which lets the PC disappear behind a monitor or on a wall. If the installation requires a full-size tower, rack-mount rails or room for multiple 2.5-inch drives, this chassis will not fit.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 0.826-liter chassis using the 75x75 or 100x100 VESA pattern, and what step is often missed?

Attach the included bracket to the monitor arm or wall first, then slide the PC onto it until it clicks; the step often missed is securing the safety screw through the bracket tab to prevent the unit from lifting off.

Which components can be upgraded later, and what specifications must the replacements match?

The two SO-DIMM slots support up to 64 GB of DDR5 5200 memory, and the M.2 2280 slot accepts NVMe SSDs; replace memory in matched pairs for dual-channel performance.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained 5.00 GHz turbo loads on the 10-core processor?

The 120 W power adapter and compact 0.826-liter chassis limit cooling capacity, so the CPU will throttle from its 5.00 GHz turbo frequency to maintain safe temperatures under continuous heavy workloads.
