Check ports display power and OS before ordering

Verify your peripherals match the available I/O: one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A, and HDMI 2.1 supporting 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz. The laptop includes RJ45 LAN, a combo audio jack, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and a Microsoft Office licence, and the 4-zone RGB keyboard has 99 anti-ghost keys.

Cooler Boost 5 manages heat during extended sessions

The Cooler Boost 5 thermal system is designed to dissipate heat from the 45W CPU and RTX 4070 during sustained gaming or rendering loads. The 15.6-inch chassis measures 14.13 x 0.98 x 10.2 inches and weighs 4.96 pounds, providing a platform for the dual-fan arrangement to maintain performance over long periods rather than short bursts. The anti-glare QHD panel covers 100% DCI-P3 with a 2.5ms response time.

Questions about this item

Does the MSI Katana 15 come with a power adapter and are any accessories sold separately?

The laptop ships with a power adapter and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. The 64GB DDR5 memory and 4TB PCIe SSD are already installed, so no separate memory or storage purchase is needed for the listed configuration.

Should I choose the 64GB DDR5 and 4TB PCIe SSD version or a lower capacity model?

The 64GB DDR5 and 4TB PCIe SSD configuration supports heavy multitasking and large game libraries without requiring an immediate upgrade, unlike models with 16GB or 1TB that would need expansion sooner.

How does the 165Hz QHD display perform with the RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 in actual games?

The 15.6 inch 2560x1440 panel at 165Hz pairs with the RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 to deliver high frame rates at QHD resolution in modern titles, matching the screen refresh capability in many competitive and AAA games.
