Built for competitive play

The MSI Katana 15 pairs a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13620H 10-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU and 8GB GDDR6 video memory. A 15.6-inch QHD panel runs at 165Hz with 2.5ms response and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. 64GB DDR5 and a 2TB PCIe SSD keep large game libraries and heavy multitasking fluid. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed.

Ports and wireless for a complete desk setup

HDMI 2.1 drives an external 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz monitor, while USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 adds a second high-refresh display. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Type-A handle peripherals. RJ45 LAN, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 cover wired and wireless networking. A four-zone RGB keyboard with 99-key anti-ghosting rounds out the input side.

Cooler Boost 5 manages sustained output

Dual fans and enlarged heat pipes pull heat from the 45W CPU and the RTX 4070 during long sessions, keeping clock speeds stable instead of throttling after a short burst. The anti-glare 15.6-inch screen stays legible under bright light. At 4.96 pounds and 0.98 inches thick, the chassis fits in a standard 15-inch bag for LAN events or travel.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6 inch 165Hz QHD screen and RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 run modern games at high settings?

The 2560 x 1440 panel at 165Hz with 2.5ms response and 100% DCI-P3 pairs with the RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 to deliver high frame rates at high detail in current titles.

Does the laptop include the ports I need for an external monitor, wired network and USB accessories?

It provides HDMI 2.1 for 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with DP1.4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A, RJ45 LAN and a combo audio jack.

Is the 64GB DDR5 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD user-upgradeable later?

The system ships with 64GB DDR5 and a 2TB PCIe SSD already installed; the supplier opens the factory seal for this configuration, so further upgrades would require re-opening the chassis.
