An ATX motherboard with Intel B560 chipset, LGA 1200 socket for 10 and 11 generation Core i9, i7, i5, i3 processors, DDR4 memory up to 128 GB, PCI Express 4.0 x16, three M.2 slots.
The MSI MAG B560 TORPEDO is an ATX motherboard built on the Intel B560 chipset and the LGA 1200 socket. It supports 10th and 11th Generation Intel Core i9, i7, i5 and i3 processors. The board carries four DDR4 slots with a maximum capacity of 128 GB. A single PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot and one legacy PCI slot handle expansion cards. Three M.2 sockets are available for storage devices.
The package contains only the motherboard and the I/O shield; no SATA cables, Wi-Fi antenna, driver disc or manual are supplied. Mount the board in a standard ATX case using the regular standoff pattern. Seat the CPU, lock the retention lever, install DDR4 modules and connect the 24-pin and 8-pin power leads. Builders often forget the 8-pin EPS connector or leave the I/O shield out of the case cut-out, which prevents the rear ports from aligning.
Verify that your chassis accepts ATX form-factor boards and that the power supply provides both a 24-pin ATX connector and an 8-pin EPS connector. Confirm that your cooler mounting hardware includes LGA 1200 brackets. Ensure the operating system you plan to install has drivers for the Intel B560 chipset. Check that any M.2 drives you intend to use are mechanically compatible with the three M.2 slots on this board.
