ATX Intel Z890 motherboard with LGA 1851 socket, dual DDR5 slots reaching 9600 MT/s OC, 20-phase 110A VRM, PCIe 5.0 x16, Thunderbolt 4, 5G LAN and Wi-Fi 7
The MSI MEG Z890 UNIFY-X is an ATX motherboard built for record-breaking DDR5 memory overclocking using a dedicated two-DIMM architecture. It supports Intel Core Ultra Processors (Series 2) on the LGA 1851 socket with the Intel Z890 chipset. The board targets enthusiasts who want maximum memory frequency headroom and a clean signal path.
Two DDR5 slots accept up to 128 GB in dual-channel mode with Intel XMP 3.0 profiles. PCIe 5.0 x16 and x8 slots connect directly to the CPU while a chipset-linked PCIe 4.0 x4 slot and x1 slot handle additional cards. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports and three M.2 sockets provide storage flexibility with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support for both SATA and NVMe devices. Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports deliver 40 Gb/s bandwidth with 8K display support and daisy-chaining.
The Frozr design uses an aluminium cover, direct-touch cross heat-pipe, 9 W/mK MOSFET thermal pads and a metal backplate to dissipate heat from the 20+2+1+1 phase 110 A Smart Power Stage VRM. Server-grade TLVR inductors improve transient response under heavy loads. Wi-Fi 7 with a 320 MHz channel and 5G LAN handle networking without adding acoustic noise.

The 20 direct phases with 110A smart power stages and TLVR inductors are rated for sustained heavy CPU loads, with server-grade transient response and 9W/mK MOSFET pads to delay thermal throttling.
Frozr Guard uses a direct-touch cross heat-pipe, aluminium cover, double-sided M.2 Shield Frozr and metal backplate, managed by Frozr AI software to keep VRM and M.2 thermals controlled during extended sessions.
The board accepts dual-channel DDR5 up to 128GB; 1DPC 1R kits reach 9600+ MT/s and 1DPC 2R kits reach 7200+ MT/s via XMP 3.0, while the LGA 1851 socket uses the standard Intel mounting pattern for coolers.
