15.6" Touch Laptop with Core 9 270H

The MSI Modern 15 MOD15HC2406 is a 15.6 inch touchscreen notebook built around an Intel Core 9 270H processor running at a 2.70 GHz base frequency. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed. The IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz. It suits professionals and students who need a responsive touch interface for daily productivity.

Sustained multitasking on the Core 9 270H

The processor can reach a 5.80 GHz turbo frequency to handle burst workloads such as compiles or large spreadsheet recalculations. With 32GB of system memory, the laptop keeps many browser tabs, office suites and creative tools resident without swapping to the 1TB NVMe drive. Integrated Intel Graphics shares system RAM, so heavy 3D rendering or modern gaming at high settings will be limited by the shared memory architecture and thermal envelope of the thin chassis.

Thermals, noise and power in daily use

Under typical office loads the cooling system runs quietly, and the aluminium keyboard deck stays comfortable during long typing sessions. When the CPU sustains high turbo frequencies the fans become audible and the base warms noticeably, a normal trade-off for the slim 15.6 form factor. The 60 Hz IPS display does not add significant heat. Wi-Fi 6E connectivity maintains stable wireless throughput without increasing chassis temperature.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core 9 270H get when the laptop runs all day?

The Intel Core 9 270H reaches 5.80 GHz turbo, so sustained workloads will spin the fans and warm the chassis; expect audible airflow under load and a warm keyboard deck after hours of use.

What must I already own to use the 32 GB DDR4 3200 memory and 1 TB NVMe SSD?

Nothing extra — the 32 GB DDR4 3200 RAM and 1 TB NVMe SSD are factory-installed, so the laptop works straight from the box.

Can I keep driving my older 1080p 60 Hz monitor alongside the 15.6" 1920 x 1080 60 Hz IPS touchscreen?

Yes — the built-in panel is a 15.6" FHD IPS touchscreen at 60 Hz, so an external 1080p 60 Hz display will match its resolution and refresh rate without scaling issues.
