Micro-ATX Z490 board for LGA 1200 CPUs with 4 DDR4 slots up to 128 GB, dual M.2, 2.5 Gb LAN and 7.1 audio
This micro-ATX motherboard uses the Intel Z490 chipset and an LGA 1200 socket to support 10th Generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. Four DDR4 slots accept up to 128 GB of memory in dual-channel mode. Two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots provide expansion room inside smaller cases.
The 2.5 Gbps Realtek RTL8125B LAN controller maintains high throughput during long file transfers without the thermal throttling seen on lesser 1 Gbps implementations. Realtek ALC1220 audio delivers stable 7.1-channel output during extended gaming sessions. The board's VRM layout handles continuous all-core workloads on supported CPUs while onboard video outputs remain active only when the installed processor includes integrated graphics.
Verify that your CPU cooler clears the micro-ATX VRM heatsink area and that the case provides the standard mounting points for this form factor. Confirm the power supply includes both a 24-pin ATX connector and an 8-pin EPS connector for the CPU. Remember that populating M2_1 with a SATA M.2 drive disables the SATA2 port, and F-series processors leave the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs inactive.

The board uses a 12+1+1 phase power design with extended heatsinks and M.2 Shield Frozr to keep VRM and SSD temperatures low during sustained workloads, while fan headers support PWM and DC control for quiet cooling curves.
You need a 10th Gen Intel Core, Pentium Gold or Celeron processor for LGA 1200, at least one DDR4 DIMM up to 4800+ MHz in 1DPC 1R config, an ATX 24-pin plus 8-pin EPS power supply, and a graphics card if using an F-series CPU without integrated graphics.
Four SATA 6Gb/s ports support current SSDs and HDDs, though SATA2 disables when an M.2 SATA drive occupies the M2_1 slot; two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots run at x16/x0 or x8/x8 and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots accept legacy expansion cards without bandwidth conflicts.
