MXL BCD-1 Broadcast Microphone Package

The MXL BCD-1 is a professional end-address dynamic microphone designed for radio broadcasts, voice-overs, podcasts and announcers. It delivers a warm, rich tone that helps vocals stand out in recordings. The package includes the Auray BAI-2X two-section broadcast arm with internal springs and an integrated XLR cable for versatile positioning.

Cardioid Pattern with Three Roll-Off Switches

The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern that provides excellent side rejection to isolate the primary sound source. Three selectable roll-off switches allow precise tailoring of the low-frequency response for different vocal styles or environments. A built-in shockmount prevents unwanted noise and vibration from reaching the capsule.

Broadcast Arm with Integrated XLR Cable

The included Auray BAI-2X arm offers two-section articulation with internal springs for stable, quiet adjustments during live sessions. Its integrated XLR cable eliminates external cable clutter and reduces the risk of accidental disconnection. A swivel mount and windscreen are also supplied for flexible placement and plosive protection on any standard mic stand.
