  • Programmable through supplied software with USB-to-serial adaptor

System Role

The myAiPower AX-DVF is a stainless steel video door station designed for flush mounting in outdoor environments. It serves as the central wiring hub for AX multi-wire digital intercom systems, managing all system functionality through CAT-5e cabling. This unit is built for commercial or multi-tenant installations requiring a durable, vandal-resistant entry point with integrated access control.

Ideal Use vs Limits

This station suits installers deploying an AX system who need four master station ports and eight door or sub station ports via RJ45 connections. It provides eight dry contact door releases and supports expansion through add-on exchanges. It is not for stand-alone single-door applications, wireless deployments, or projects lacking the structured cabling infrastructure required by the multi-wire digital architecture.

Capacity Decider

The system supports a maximum of one hundred and four doors when expanded with up to three AX-320C add-on exchanges. This capacity limit determines whether the AX-DVF can serve the intended building scale. The unit also includes two BNC composite video outputs, two 24V DC power inputs, and a CO line transfer output for integration with a Viking K-1900-5 auto-dialer.

Questions about this item

How is the AX-DVF flush-mounted and wired, and what step do installers often miss?

Mount the stainless steel unit in a standard rack or wall box, then run CAT-5e to the eight RJ45 door/sub ports and four RJ45 master ports. The step often missed is connecting both 24 V DC supply terminals for redundant power.

Which components of the AX-DVF will need attention or replacement over time?

The eight dry-contact door releases rated at 500 mA each can wear from repeated actuation, and the two BNC composite video outputs may degrade after years of continuous switching.

What capacity limit appears first when expanding the AX-DVF system under sustained use?

The station supports up to 104 doors maximum, reached by adding three AX-320C exchanges; that door count is the first hard limit encountered.
