16 AWG In-Wall Speaker Wire

This NavePoint speaker wire uses two 16 AWG conductors built from 64 strands of 0.16 mm copper-clad aluminium. The clear PVC jacket carries a CL2 rating for in-wall installation. Each pack contains two 100 ft spools suited for home, car or office audio systems.

CL2 Rating and Conductor Material

Verify that your local building code accepts CL2-rated cable for the intended wall or ceiling run. Confirm that your amplifier or receiver terminals accept 16 AWG wire and that copper-clad aluminium conductors meet your system's impedance requirements.

Replaces Thinner or Non-Rated Cable

This wire upgrades from thinner gauge or non-in-wall-rated speaker cable when a CL2 classification is required by code. The jump is worth it for whole-house audio runs where fire-rated jacketing and 16 AWG thickness reduce resistance over long distances.

Questions about this item

Does the pack contain two complete 100 ft spools or a single 100 ft length split in two?

The pack of 2 provides two separate 100 ft spools of 16 AWG 64 strand CCA wire, each on its own spool for easy storage.

Why is this 16 AWG 64 strand CCA wire a good match for typical home or office speaker runs?

16 AWG with 64 strands of 0.16 mm copper clad aluminium keeps resistance low over normal room distances while the lighter aluminium core reduces cost and weight.

What does the CL2 rating on this 100 ft in-wall speaker wire mean for a real installation?

CL2 means the clear PVC jacket meets fire safety codes for running inside walls, so you can pull the 100 ft spools through stud cavities without extra conduit.
