14 AWG In-Wall Speaker Wire

This 14 AWG in-wall speaker wire suits installers running audio cables through walls, ceilings or conduit in homes, offices or vehicles. The CL2-rated jacket meets building-code requirements for permanent installation. Two conductors carry a single stereo channel or a mono feed to each speaker location. The clear PVC jacket lets you verify polarity at a glance during long pulls.

80-strand CCA conductors and 100 ft spools

Each conductor bundles 80 strands of 0.16 mm copper-clad aluminium, giving flexible handling on long runs. The 100 ft length on a spool covers typical room-to-room distances without splicing. Copper-clad aluminium keeps the cable light and cost-effective, though its higher resistance than solid copper limits the maximum run before signal loss becomes audible. Two spools are included for left and right channels or separate zones.

Fits standard binding posts and banana plugs

The 14 AWG diameter terminates cleanly under screw terminals, spring clips or banana plugs without special tools. The spool packaging pays out straight, reducing kinks that can snag inside wall cavities. No shielding or extra jacket layers are present, so the cable slides through tight stud bays and conduit bends. It does not carry a plenum rating, so vertical shafts requiring CMP cable are outside its scope.

Questions about this item

Will this 14 AWG wire work with my existing 16 AWG speaker runs?

Mixing 14 AWG with thinner 16 AWG is electrically safe; the 80 strands of 0.16 mm copper-clad aluminium simply add a lower-resistance path for the same amplifier channels.

How can I confirm the CL2 rating is intact after pulling the cable through walls?

The clear PVC jacket carries the CL2 marking along its length; inspect the printed legend on the jacket after installation to verify the rating remains visible.

Does the pack of 2 include two 100 ft spools, and are connectors supplied?

The pack contains two separate 100 ft spools of 2-conductor wire; no banana plugs, spade lugs or other terminations are included.
