1U Sliding Vented Shelf for 19-inch Racks

The NavePoint shelf occupies 1U of rack space and mounts in any EIA-ECA 310E compliant 19-inch four-post cabinet. Cold-rolled steel with a black powder-coated finish supports up to 99 lbs of non-rackmount gear such as routers, tower PCs or AV equipment.

Replaces Fixed Shelves When Equipment Needs

A fixed shelf forces you to reach deep into the cabinet; this unit slides forward 12 inches so devices can be serviced without removing them. The jump is worth it whenever gear requires frequent cable changes, media swaps or front-panel operation.

Suits Installers With Four-post Cabinets

Adjustable mounting depth ranges from 21.75 to 24 inches, fitting most standard server racks. Builders using two-post racks, wall-mount brackets or cabinets shallower than 21.75 inches should look at other mounting solutions.

Questions about this item

What is the adjustable mounting-depth range for the 19-inch EIA-310E rack posts?

The shelf mounts in any four-post rack with a post-to-post depth between 21.75 and 24 inches.

Which hardware is used to secure the shelf to the rack posts, and what is the common alignment mistake?

Eight sets of M6 screws, cage nuts and washers are supplied; the frequent error is not aligning the cage nuts on the same vertical U-space on all four posts before tightening.

When should the cold-rolled steel shelf or its sliding mechanism be inspected or replaced?

Inspect the rails and vented surface if the 99-pound load limit is exceeded or if the 12-inch extension no longer slides smoothly.
