2U Vented Blank Panel

The NavePoint 2U blank rack panel fills unused space in a standard 19-inch enclosure while its perforated surface lets air pass through. It suits installers who need to maintain front-to-rear airflow in a cabinet that has empty rack units.

Replaces solid blanking plates

A solid panel blocks the air path and can raise intake temperatures for active gear. Swapping to this vented spacer is worthwhile when thermal sensors show rising inlet readings or when a hot-aisle containment plan calls for every unit to stay permeable.

Steady airflow under continuous load

Because the vent pattern is fixed and the cold-rolled steel does not deform, the open area stays constant during prolonged operation. There are no moving parts to fail and no filter media to clog, so airflow resistance remains predictable for the life of the installation.

Questions about this item

How much vertical space does the 2U blank panel occupy in a 19-inch rack?

The panel is 3.5 inches high and mounts vertically on the rack rails, filling exactly two rack units of height.

Which screws are supplied for fixing the panel to the rack rails?

The package includes 10-32 screws; align the panel holes with the rail threads and tighten each screw evenly so the panel sits flush without cross-threading.

Will the perforated venting pattern clog and need cleaning over time?

Dust can accumulate on the perforations, so periodic vacuuming or compressed-air cleaning keeps airflow unrestricted.
