The NavePoint cantilever shelf occupies 2U of rack space and mounts to the front posts of any standard 19-inch rack or cabinet. It provides a 22-inch deep platform for equipment that does not have rack-mount ears or exceeds typical rail depth. The 50-pound weight capacity supports modems, small UPS units or tools. The shelf ships fully assembled.

Front-Mount Design Limits Rail Options

Because the shelf brackets attach only to the front posts, the unit cannot be secured to rear rails and therefore relies on the front mounting points for all load bearing. This arrangement works well for shallow cabinets or open frames where rear access is blocked, but it prevents use in enclosures that require four-post mounting for seismic or heavy-duty ratings. The fixed depth of 22 inches also means the shelf cannot be adjusted forward or backward to align with varying equipment depths.

Cold-Rolled Steel with Vented Surface

The shelf is formed from cold-rolled steel finished with an electro-static powder coat that resists scratches and corrosion in data-centre environments. Slotted venting across the top surface allows passive airflow around hot-running gear while a front lip keeps devices from sliding forward during vibration or transport. Mounting hardware includes both 10-32 and 12-24 screws to match common rack thread types.
