2U Cantilever Shelf for 19-Inch Racks

This two-unit cantilever shelf mounts to any standard 19-inch rack or cabinet. It provides a fixed platform for equipment that cannot be rack-mounted directly. The 18-inch depth suits deeper devices while the front-mount design keeps the rear clear for cabling. It arrives fully assembled and ready to install.

Vented Steel Construction for Airflow

Slotted venting across the surface lets air circulate around stored gear to reduce the possibility of overheating. The shelf is formed from 2 mm cold-rolled steel with an electro-static powder-coated finish. This construction supports the rated 100 pound weight capacity without adding active cooling noise or power draw.

Front Lip and Dual Screw Kits Included

A front lip helps prevent equipment from sliding forward during vibration or maintenance. The package includes four 10-32 screws and four 12-24 screws so installers can match common rack-thread standards. Builders who need rear-support rails or a sliding mechanism will need a different shelf style.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 2U cantilever shelf to a standard 19-inch rack using the included 10-32 and 12-24 screws?

Align the front mounting brackets with the rack's front vertical rails, then secure using the supplied 10-32 or 12-24 screws; the shelf mounts only to the front posts.

What long-term care does the cold-rolled steel shelf with electro-static powder coating require?

Wipe the vented surface periodically to prevent dust build-up in the slots; the powder-coated finish resists corrosion without further treatment.

At what point will the 100 lb weight limit become the limiting factor during continuous loading?

The 100 lb capacity is the structural ceiling; exceeding it risks permanent deflection of the 2 mm steel even if the load is evenly distributed.
