6U Desk Rack for 19-Inch Gear

This 6U open-frame rack holds standard 19-inch network equipment on a desk or any flat surface. Cold-rolled steel with a powder-coated finish provides a stable platform for servers, switches, routers, patch panels and audio-video components. Bolted assembly with angled rails and rubber feet keeps the load centred. Hardware is included for straightforward setup.

660 lb Capacity Under Continuous Load

The heavy-duty frame is rated for 660 lbs, so the rack maintains its structure when fully populated with dense gear over long periods. Threaded 10-32 rails and cable management slots keep equipment secured and cabling organised without flex. Open sides give unrestricted rear access for hot-swaps and maintenance while the unit stays in place.

Replaces Floor-Standing Cabinets in Tight Spaces

This desk rack eliminates the need for a full-height cabinet when floor space is unavailable or when a deployment must move between sites. It is not suited for installations that require lockable side panels, integrated cooling ducts or a higher unit count than 6U. Flat-packed delivery means on-site assembly is required before use.

Questions about this item

Does the 10-32 threaded rail produce any noise or heat when the rack is loaded all day?

The rack is a passive steel frame with no moving parts, so it generates no noise or heat regardless of how long it is used.

What must I already own to mount equipment in this 6U desk rack?

You need standard 19-inch rack-mount devices and 10-32 screws to secure them to the threaded rails.

Will my older 19-inch patch panels and switches fit alongside newer gear in this rack?

Yes, the 19-inch width and 10-32 threaded holes accept any standard 19-inch equipment regardless of age.
