This 1U cantilever shelf mounts to any standard 19-inch rack or cabinet. The front-mount design leaves the rear open for cable routing and airflow. Slotted venting across the surface reduces the possibility of overheating for equipment placed on the shelf. A front lip helps keep devices from sliding forward.

Build integration and clearance

The shelf assembles directly to the front rack rails using the included M6 screws, cage nuts and washers. Its 150mm depth provides a compact platform for shallow devices such as modems, switches or patch panels. The open rear frees up vertical space behind the shelf for cable management arms or power distribution units. Cold-rolled steel construction with a powder-coated finish supports up to 44 pounds of equipment.

Upgrade context and limitations

This shelf replaces makeshift trays or non-vented fixed shelves that block rear airflow and limit cable access. The jump is worth it when you need a lightweight, vented platform that installs in a single rack unit without consuming rear depth. It is not suited for deep servers, heavy appliances or installations that require rear rail support. Buyers needing greater depth or higher load capacity should look elsewhere.
