NavePoint Cat5e UTP Patch Cable 50 FT

This NavePoint Cat5e UTP Ethernet patch cable measures 50 feet and uses stranded copper conductors with a blue PVC jacket. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors feature snagless strain relief boots for secure connections. The cable is UL Listed and tested to 100 MHz bandwidth with a maximum transfer speed of 1 Gbps.

Suits standard Gigabit home and office links

It connects computers, routers, switches, VoIP phones and media players on 10/100/1000 Base-T networks. The 24 AWG stranded design makes it flexible for patching between devices and wall outlets. Installers who need shielded cable, plenum rating or lengths beyond 50 feet should choose a different specification.

1 Gbps maximum transfer speed

The Cat5e rating supports up to 100 MHz frequency and 1 Gbps throughput, which determines whether this cable meets the performance requirement for a given Gigabit Ethernet installation.

Questions about this item

Which length should I choose for my setup?

This cable is supplied in a single 50 FT length; choose it when the distance between your devices and the wall outlet or switch is roughly that far.

What does the 1 Gbps rating mean for everyday use?

It supports full Gigabit Ethernet throughput for file transfers, streaming and VoIP on 10/100/1000 Base-T networks.

How does the 100 MHz bandwidth affect performance?

The 100 MHz bandwidth sets the signalling ceiling that enables the 1 Gbps data rate on Cat5e links.
