Outdoor-rated CAT6 cable with solid copper conductors, waterproof jacket and direct-burial rating supplied in a ten-pack of 500-foot reels
This NavePoint cable bundle supplies ten reels of direct burial CAT6E Ethernet cable, each 500 ft long. The black LDPE jacket is waterproof and UV rated for indoor and outdoor installations. Eight solid copper conductors (four twisted pairs) use 23 AWG gauge with 0.57 mm diameter. The cable is tested up to 550 MHz.
Installers pulling cable between buildings, to cameras or to outdoor access points will benefit from the burial rating and UV resistance. The solid conductors keep signal integrity over the full 500 ft length. Buyers who need shielded cable for high EMI environments or pre-terminated patch cords for short indoor links should look elsewhere.
The cable has been tested up to 550 MHz and supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, 1000Base-T and 10GBASE-T. This frequency headroom is the specification that determines whether the link will carry the required Ethernet speed over the installed distance.

Lay the cable in a trench at the proper depth, keep bends gentle to avoid kinking the solid conductors, and always seal the ends with waterproof tape or heat shrink before backfilling — skipping the end seal lets moisture wick into the pairs.
The jacket resists UV and water, but inspect it annually for cracks or rodent damage; if the jacket is breached, replace the affected section because the solid copper pairs cannot be field-spliced reliably.
The cable is tested to 550 MHz and rated for 10GBASE-T up to the full 500 ft; beyond that distance the 10 Gbps signal degrades first, so keep runs at or under 500 ft for 10 Gbps.
