NEC M323W business projector

The NEC M323W is a DLP business projector built for meeting rooms and classrooms. It delivers 3200 lumens of brightness and a native 1280x800 resolution for clear presentations. Weighing 7.7 lbs, it suits both table-top and ceiling-mounted setups. Integrated speakers add convenience for smaller spaces.

Brightness range and native resolution

Rated at 3200 lumens within a 3000-3500 lumen band, it handles lit rooms and medium-sized screens comfortably. The 10,000:1 contrast ratio supports readable text and detailed graphics. Native 1280x800 resolution accepts 1080p HD video signals with scaling. Very large venues or dark-room cinema use will exceed its practical headroom.

Connectivity and mounting flexibility

Ports include HDMI, VGA/SVGA D-Sub and USB for direct media playback. Ceiling and table-top projection modes plus projection tilt adjustment simplify daily alignment. Built-in speakers cover basic audio without external hardware. The 7.7 lb weight allows portable use between rooms or permanent installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 1280x800 native resolution and HDMI input work with my older laptop that only outputs VGA?

Yes, the projector includes both HDMI and VGA D-Sub ports, so you can connect an older laptop via VGA while the native 1280x800 DLP chip scales the signal.

How can I confirm the 3200 lumen brightness and 10,000:1 contrast are performing correctly after installation?

Display a test pattern in a dim room; the image should appear evenly bright at 3200 lumens with deep blacks reflecting the 10,000:1 contrast ratio.

Does the box include an HDMI cable and ceiling mount, or must I buy them separately?

The bundle supplies the projector, power cord, VGA cable, remote and documentation; an HDMI cable and ceiling mount are not included and must be purchased separately.
