NEC NP-UM361X ultra short throw projector

The NEC NP-UM361X is a 3LCD ultra short throw business projector built for classrooms and meeting rooms. It delivers 3600 lumens of brightness at a native 1024 x 768 resolution. The unit weighs 12.4 lbs and supports HD video modes up to 1080p.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This projector suits educators and presenters needing a large image from a very short distance with high ambient-light brightness. Buyers who require native 1080p or 4K resolution for detailed graphics should look elsewhere. Users needing wireless casting or lens shift adjustments will not find those features here.

Native 1024 x 768 resolution decides fit

The single specification that decides fit is the native 1024 x 768 resolution. It determines whether text and data appear sharp enough for your content. If your material demands higher pixel density, this model will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the NP-UM361X ship with a lens cap, remote control and power cable or must I buy them separately?

The unit is professionally tested and in good working order; accessories are listed in the supplier title so the standard power cable, remote and lens cap are included.

Should I choose the 1024 x 768 native resolution model or a 1080p native version for classroom text?

This model has a native 1024 x 768 panel and accepts a 1080p signal; pick it when XGA native clarity matches your content and you do not need full 1080p native pixels.

What does 3600 lumens mean for a 12.4 lb ultra-short-throw unit in a lit classroom?

At 3600 ANSI lumens and 4000:1 contrast the projector delivers a bright, readable image on a whiteboard or screen even with ambient light, while the ultra-short-throw lens keeps shadows off the presenter.
