Business projection ready

The NEC NP310 is a 3LCD business projector rated at 2200 lumens with a native 1024 x 768 resolution. It suits meeting rooms and classrooms that need clear data display under moderate ambient light. Built-in speakers and broad OS compatibility simplify setup for presenters using Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS devices. Its 6.6 lb weight supports occasional portable use.

Brightness headroom and limits

At 2200 lumens the unit handles typical office lighting and small to mid-size screens comfortably. Contrast sits at 2000:1, so dark-room film playback or detailed shadow areas will show limited depth. Native XGA resolution means 1080i signals are scaled down, so fine text in full-HD sources loses sharpness. Very large venues or high-ambient environments will exceed its comfortable output range.

Connectivity practical limits

Video inputs include HDMI, DVI, VGA, S-Video and composite RCA, while network control uses RJ-45 LAN and RS-232. Audio output is a single mini-jack. The projector lacks wireless video or modern streaming protocols, so BYOD scenarios require cables or adapters. Legacy analog ports remain useful for older laptops, but bandwidth tops out at the native panel resolution.

Questions about this item

Will the NP310's HDMI and VGA ports let me keep using my older laptop that only has VGA output?

Yes — the NP310 provides both an HDMI port and a VGA/SVGA D-Sub input, so you can connect the older laptop directly via VGA while newer sources use HDMI.

How can I confirm the NP310 is delivering its rated 2200 lumens and 2000:1 contrast after installation?

Display a full-white test pattern and measure centre-screen illuminance with a calibrated light meter; a reading near 2200 lumens combined with a 2000:1 full-on/full-off contrast check confirms the projector is performing to spec.

Does the NP310 ship with an HDMI cable and ceiling-mount hardware, or must I buy them separately?

The supplied accessories include an HDMI adapter and a remote control; an HDMI cable and any ceiling-mount bracket are not included and must be purchased separately.
