Purpose and audience

The NEC NP44LP is a 3LCD business projector rated at 4700 ANSI lumens with a native WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800. It suits meeting rooms and classrooms that need bright, readable images on screens up to 300 inches diagonal. Connectivity includes dual HDMI, VGA in and out, HDBaseT, USB, RS232 and wired networking for integration with Crestron RoomView systems.

Sustained-load behaviour

In normal mode the 330W NSH lamp runs for 4000 hours while the fan produces 37 dB of audible noise. Switching to Eco mode extends lamp life to 8000 hours and lowers noise to 34 dB, allowing longer sessions with reduced heat and acoustic distraction. The dynamic iris helps maintain the 18000:1 contrast ratio during extended presentations.

Pre-installation checks

Verify that the throw distance of 4.5 to 25.5 feet matches your room layout, as the 1.75× manual zoom lens covers a throw ratio of 1.20:1 to 2.10:1. Ensure the 418 W power draw at 100–240 V is supported by your circuit and that ceiling-mount hardware can accommodate the 10.6 lb unit measuring 5.60 by 16.50 by 13.00 inches.
