Throw Business Projector

The Promethean PRM-45A uses DLP technology to deliver 3600 lumens brightness at a native 1280 x 800 resolution. Its short-throw lens suits classrooms or meeting rooms where space between the screen and unit is limited. The bundle includes Thunderbolt and Mini DisplayPort connectivity for modern laptops.

15,000:1 Contrast and HD Support

The 15,000:1 contrast ratio helps text remain legible under ambient light. Native 1280 x 800 resolution means 1080p signals are scaled rather than displayed pixel-for-pixel. Brightness above 3500 lumens supports clear images in lit environments without total darkness.

Check Throw Distance and Input Ports

Verify your room layout matches the fixed short-throw distance required by this lens. Confirm your source devices provide Thunderbolt or Mini DisplayPort video output, or plan for an active adapter. The 7 lb weight needs a secure ceiling mount or stable shelf rated for the load.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the short-throw version for a small meeting room?

How bright will 3600 lumens look with the lights on?

At 3600 lumens the image stays clear and readable in typical office lighting without needing a fully darkened room.

What does the Thunderbolt connection actually carry?

Thunderbolt delivers video, data and power over a single cable, simplifying hookup to compatible laptops and docks.
