Entry-level magnetic LED cube

The Neewer N96 is a pocket-sized bi-color panel with 96 LEDs, 48 warm and 48 cool, built for beginners who need simple continuous light. It delivers up to 518 lux at 0.5 m across a 3000 K to 9000 K range. The unit measures 76 x 76 x 35 mm and weighs 108 g with its integrated diffuser.

Magnetic mount and three cold shoes

A magnetic back lets the light clamp to laptops or metal surfaces without extra hardware. Three cold shoes and a 1/4"-thread provide flexible mounting on tripods, cages or handles. The 2000 mAh battery charges via USB, though output drops to 3.5 W when used while charging.

Compact build with physical controls

The black plastic chassis fits in a pocket and relies on a single button and knob for brightness and colour-temperature adjustment. No app or wireless protocol is included, keeping operation straightforward. The 1/4" thread and cold shoes support daily rigging on cameras, phones or small stands.

Questions about this item

How long does the built-in 2000mAh battery last before it needs recharging?

The 2000mAh battery powers the light; when used while charging the output automatically drops to 3.5W, so plan for regular recharging during long sessions.

At full brightness, what limits continuous runtime the most?

Running all 96 LEDs at maximum output draws the most power, so the 2000mAh capacity becomes the limiting factor before the light dims or shuts off.

Does the magnetic clip and 1/4" thread stay cool during all-day shooting?

The aluminium body helps dissipate heat from the 96 LEDs, keeping the magnetic mount and 1/4" thread comfortable to touch even after extended use.
