5" USB ring light with clip and tripod

The Neewer ST83 is a 5 inch ring light powered by USB, equipped with 60 LEDs that deliver 450 lux at 0.5 metres. It offers a colour temperature range of 3000 K to 6000 K and a CRI above 97. The unit clips onto monitors up to 2.5 cm thick and includes a small desk tripod for tabletop use.

Upgrade from built-in webcam lighting

This light replaces the harsh, low-output illumination found on most laptops and monitors. The jump is worth it when you need accurate colour for video calls, streaming or makeup tutorials and want adjustable brightness from 10 to 100 percent across five mixed-colour modes.

Suits remote workers and casual creators

Ideal for anyone who wants better on-camera lighting without a large studio setup. Not for buyers who need more output than 450 lux, who require mains-powered operation, or who need a larger diameter ring for full-face illumination at greater distances.

Questions about this item

How thick a monitor or laptop edge can the clip grip?

The clip fits displays up to 2.5 cm thick, so most laptop lids and desktop monitors hold securely.

What USB power source is required for the 9 V ring light?

Plug the USB cable into any 9 V USB charger or powered port; the light draws power directly with no separate adapter.

How long will the 60 LEDs maintain their CRI above 97?

LEDs rated for tens of thousands of hours typically keep CRI > 97 for years of daily use; no user-replaceable parts are inside.
